Where are you from?
I'm from Lexington - born and raised and returned back in 2001.
How long have you been a member at Steel Fox and why did you join?
I think its been at least 2 years - spring of 2016 - actually not sure!
What classes do you usually attend?
Steel-Fit 3 times a week . Usually Thursday and Friday mornings and Saturdays.
What do you like to do outside of Steel Fox?
Yoga twice a week outside of steel fit.
What is something we might not know about you?
You probably know that im a physician, i am also a mother of 3 - my husband passed away from brain cancer at 40 when my kids were very young and so i try to not take my health for granted and try to stay as healthy as i can- there is always room for improvement!
What is your favorite movement?
Not sure i have a favorite movement - probably lower body - squats lunges and deadlift.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Greatest accomplishment in life? - raising 3 kids on my own. At the gym? - increasing my strength- sticking to the program, getting better at burpees.
What is one long term goal and one short term goal?
Long term goal - pull ups, rope climb, head stand (stuff that i don't think i can easily do). Short term goal is reducing percent body fat, increasing muscle mass and cardiovascular conditioning.
What motivates and inspires you?
I’m motivated by appreciating the human body and all the potential that lies within. I’m motivated to keep making progress despite the years passing. I’m inspired by people that are fearless and set the bar high - those who push boundaries and maximize their experience every day.
